About Us

Since  first performing together in October of 2024, Coal Creek Station has flourished in the Wabash Valley musical community, gaining devoted friends and followers across all ages and walks of  life.

Putting their hearts and souls into their unique sound, the band  brings together four young but accomplished musicians, a burgeoning  songwriter, and some of the sweetest harmonies around.

To keep your  feet tapping through the whole show, their broad repertoire encompasses not only bluegrass and instrumentals, but American folk rock, songs of the western frontier,

and classic country.

Jed Winters' captivating voice provides the majority of lead vocals, and he is self-taught on guitar and banjo.  Jed will occasionally play a little dobro if asked nicely.  Wyatt Clark, also self-taught, not only  plays mandolin, but has written several original songs performed by Coal Creek Station, including 'Outrun' and 'Fast Train to Heaven'.  Orion Kelly plays lead guitar, providing rhythm and back up harmonies with Halle Newman, our lead fiddle player.  Orion and Halle performed together previously for over 11 years as members of the youth bluegrass band, the Coon Holler Kids, the feature group of Coon Holler Music, known regionally for excellence in mentoring young musicians.  As members of the Coon Holler Kids, Halle and Orion were invited to perform at Silver Dollar City during the 'BBQ & Bluegrass Festival' and won 3rd Place Nationally in the 2023 'Youth in Bluegrass' band competition  held in Branson, Missouri.  Joining Coal Creek Station in the summer months is former full-time band member, Anne Kelly.  Anne, a member of  the 2023 Coon Holler Kids (and sister to Orion), plays fiddle, guitar, mandolin, and electric bass, and is currently pursuing a major in Music Production at Freed-Hardeman University.

Coal Creek Station provides a refreshing and exciting performance that you don’t want to miss!  Be sure to Like and Follow them to keep up with the band and future events!
